Tillia Hardie’s Through Their Senses series emerged from the power of connection between people and working dogs.

The personification of the working dog is at the forefront of this collection as they have an innate ability to understand, display enthusiasm and read emotion. It’s the tracking with their eyes, flicking of their ears and intense sense of smell that allows them to be alert, attentive and so focused on a task at hand. Through the use of texture, movement, line and colour in this work, the nature of their individuality has been encapsulated.
